BRIG. GEN. MICHAEL A. IZZO

BG Mike Izzo graduated from the Alabama Military Academy Class 39 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in August 1995 as a Signal Officer and has served in signal, air defense artillery, logistics, chemical and military police assignments. In his most recent assignment, BG Izzo was the first commander of the 142nd Military Police Brigade headquartered in Decatur, Alabama and was formerly the 20th Commandant of the 200th Training RTI. 
 
BG Mike Izzo holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Athens State University, and master’s degrees from Auburn University in Montgomery and the U.S. Army War College. He is a retired police captain from the City of Huntsville. He commanded several divisions throughout 32 years of honorable service. BG Izzo is currently working part-time as a Criminal Investigator for the Madison County District Attorneys Office at the Child Advocacy Center.
