62nd Troop Command
This Major Subordinate Command (MSC) is one of the largest and most historic MSCsin the Alabama Army National Guard. Headquartered in Opelika, the 62nd provides command and control of the 1-117th Field Artillery Regiment, the 1-167th Infantry Regiment, and the 1-173rd Infantry Regiment. The 62nd maintains trained and equipped units that are capable of immediate mobilization for combat in war or service during a domestic emergency. It is responsible for over 1,800 Soldiers and a constantly modernizing equipment inventory, which includes cutting edge vehicles, weapons, and communication systems that keep our warfighters safe, mission-capable, and always one step ahead of the nation's threats.
