117th Air Refueling Wing, Ala. - Chief Master Sgt. David Wright retires from the 117th Air Refueling Wing at Sumpter Smith Air National Guard Base, Birmingham, Ala., Jan. 26, 2019. Wright first enlisted in 1976 and spent the majority of his career in 117 ARW Communication Flight. He last served as chief of 117 ARW Mission Support Squadron for approximately five years. Arnett’s childhood of trauma and abuse in the foster care system led her to service in the Alabama National Guard, which turned her story into a positive force of change for others like her.
