KK - FORT HOOD, Tx (July 20, 2017)— Spc. Demetrius Billings, intelligence analyst, fires at targets at the machine gun range at Fort Hood, July 24, 2017. Soldiers issued SAWs had to qualify with the weapons by showing proficiency and competency with the weapon. The 135th ESC is currently stationed at Fort Hood to conduct pre-mobilization training to ensure their success when deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. Arnett’s childhood of trauma and abuse in the foster care system led her to service in the Alabama National Guard, which turned her story into a positive force of change for others like her.
