SEXUAL ASSAULT REPORTING OPTIONS
SAPR, SARCs, and VA’s provide non-clinical crisis intervention, resources, referrals, and ongoing non-clinical support to victims of sexual assault. You can have as much or as little contact with your SARC/VA as you would like.

UNRESTRICTED REPORTING
  • Triggers an investigation
  • Command is notified and the information is shared on a need-to-know basis only.
  • Eligible for services such as advocacy, medical care, counseling referrals, chaplain support, and SVC Services
  • Eligible to request a Military Protective Order and/or a Civilian Protective Order
  • Eligible for an expedited transfer request
  • CANNOT change to a restricted report

RESTRICTED REPORTING
  • Does not trigger an investigation
  • Allows for confidential reporting
  • Stays between client and SARC/VA
  • Able to receive services such as advocacy, medical care, counseling referrals, chaplain support, and SVC services
  • Eligible for the CATCH Program
  • CAN change to an Unrestricted Report at any time

NEW EXPANDED RETRISTED REPORTS
  • Disclosure to Chain of Command no longer removes a victim's option to file Restricted
  • Restricted Reports are only unavailable if:
    • the victim disclosed to law enforcement
    • previously filed Unrestricted for the same incident.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR SERVICES
  • Members of the National Guard
  • Adult dependents
  • Title 32 non-dual status technicians and Title 5 technicians are eligible for SAPR Program services.
