122nd Troop Command
Boasting a rotary-wing aviation battalion and two company-level aviation elements, a multifunctional medical battalion, a combat sustainment support battalion, a mobile public affairs detachment, a multimedia production detachment, and the award-winning 151st Army Band, the Selma-headquartered 122nd is our home for all rotary wing aviation and a wide variety of support elements. While the 122nd is often a first-call for civilian partners in search and rescue, aerial observation and security, and fire suppression due to the proficiency and reliability of its Chinook, Lakota, and Blackhawk pilots, it is also a source of transportation, physical and morale support, and life-saving care for U.S. troops in contingency operations worldwide. The men and women of the 122nd truly embody the Army Aviation Corps motto, "Above The Best."
