135th Expeditionary Sustainment Command
This Major Command (MACOM) based in Birmingham is one of only two expeditionary sustainment commands in the entire U.S. National Guard; it is tasked with providing mission command and logistical support to units deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. The 135th has built (and continues to maintain) a reputation for itself as a leader in the worldwide sustainment and logistics communities by ensuring the units under its care are manned, supplied, and equipped for each mission they face. A logistical powerhouse, the 135th has become a frequent and reliable source for the U.S. Army's overseas logistical needs by providing command and control, sustainment, planning, guidance, and support to all American and allied forces throughout an entire area of operations.
