167th Theater Sustainment Command
This Major Command (MACOM) is the only theater-level sustainment command in the U.S. National Guard. It is also home to several other "onlys" among its subordinate units: it boasts the Guard's only Explosives Ordinance Group (111th EOD), the only Army Field Support Brigade (279th AFSB), and the Army's only Transportation Movement Control Element (440th TCME). The 167th is tasked with the monumental logistics mission of opening, sustaining, and closing entire theaters of operation. It is a globally integrated force responsible for ongoing support and sustainment operations for all of the U.S. Army South and U.S. Southern Command. Their unique capabilities have made them a leader in many fields and the Army's expert for responsive and integrated sustainment solutions anytime, anywhere.
