The Alabama National Guard is a wonderful place for one to serve both God and country. Contact the State Chaplains Office at 334-270-2996 or

.
The Alabama National Guard consists of the Army and Air Force components and there are chaplains and chaplain assistants within both. We are directly involved in the war on terrorism, state-wide and inter-state operations as requested by our Governor. Since 9/11, our chaplains and chaplain assistants have deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Germany. In addition, they have responded to Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and the Deep Water Horizon oil cleanup on our Gulf coast.
I borrow a phrase when I say "We are here for you." I am sincere in my desire to communicate that to you. Whether you are already a Soldier or Airman in the Alabama National Guard, a family member needing support, or one who is interested in becoming a chaplain or chaplain assistant, this page provides the information and contacts to assist you.
Thank you for visiting the Alabama National Guard Chaplain's page. I am proud to say our chaplains and chaplain assistants are committed to the ministry to which they are called and are professionally trained to serve Soldiers, Airmen and their families. Many of our chaplains are pastors of local churches, while others are prison chaplains, teachers, counselors and denominational leaders. Also, we now have a full-time chaplain and chaplain assistant at our Joint Force Headquarters, in Montgomery, Ala. Thus, our chaplaincy has a constant presence within our statewide military family. We are there, wherever they are!
May God bless you richly,
Wylly Collins
