62nd Troop Command
This Major Command (MACOM) is one of the largest and most historic MACOMs in the Alabama Army National Guard. Headquartered at Fort Taylor Hardin in Montgomery, the 62nd provides command and control of the 1-117th Field Artillery Battalion, the 1-167th Infantry Battalion, and the 1-173rd Infantry Battalion. The 62nd ensures trained and equipped units that are capable of immediate mobilization for service in time of war or domestic emergency support. It is also responsible for over 1,800 Soldiers and a constantly modernizing equipment inventory, which includes vehicles, weapon systems, and communication systems that keep our warfighters safe, mission-capable, and always one step ahead of the nation's threats.
